Gynaecologist and Laparoscopic Surgeon
I’ve always considered myself to be so lucky when I can say I really love my job. I love the opportunities I have every day to make a difference in the lives of women, by helping them with their gynaecological concerns.
My desire to specialise in women’s health started in medical school, where I completed a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland. I did most of my training in hospitals around Brisbane and then I moved to Sydney to complete an accredited fellowship in minimally invasive surgery through the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery (AGES) Society. During my fellowship I worked with world experts in the fields of endometriosis and pelvic pain, two common conditions affecting the health and quality of life for many women.
At the heart of my passion is good patient care. I am committed to empowering women to understand and appreciate their bodies and help them to improve their health. That is why I founded Gynaecology and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (GAALS) in Brisbane.
Whether you have routine gynaecological questions, or a more complex surgical problem, I will always take your concern seriously and provide an honest and balanced approach to help you.

Good care starts with listening. As a gynaecologist, I want you to feel heard, understand your options and feel confident in the decisions you make about your health.
In addition to my private practice at GAALS Brisbane, I’m a Staff Specialist in Gynaecology at QEII Hospital, and I’ve also held consultant roles at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Redlands Hospital and Mater Hospital. My focus is medical and minimally invasive surgical care, including laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery.
I see women with:
- Heavy, irregular or painful periods, including PMS/PMDD
- Endometriosis, adenomyosis and persistent pelvic pain
- Fibroids, ovarian cysts and menopause
- Polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS, formerly PCOS)
- Cervical abnormalities and vulvovaginal conditions
I also help train and assess future gynaecologists through RANZCOG, and I’m a member of AGES, ANZVS and the Australasian Menopause Society.
Away from work, I’m usually outdoors or travelling with my husband and three boys.
